Unparalleled heritage

A building steeped in history

In the 1800s, Mont-Pelerin was already famed for its beauty and visited by distinguished literary names like Victor Hugo and Eugene Rambert, who drew poetic inspiration from the exceptional scenery.

As the 20th century unfolded, it became a place to be seen for wealthy Europeans. Viscount de Faria, Princess Eristoff, and the de Taubes were just some of the high-society names who made a point of staying at the prestigious Pelerin Palace Hotel.

In 1923, under a new owner, it became Hotel du Parc, and then continued to be run and cherished by the same family for five generations.

Finally, in 2008, Swiss Development Group acquired the hotel and transformed it into 22 exquisite residences that are the first in Switzerland to offer luxury living alongside Kempinski 5-star service.

Now, once again, the mansion’s walls – their original beams, mirrors and panelling restored – reflect a Belle Époque ambiance that eminent guests of that glittering age would recognise.
